PIXMA MG3600 Series: Unable to find Wi-Fi

I am using a Pixma MG 3600. My son gave me an EERO WiFi system. I find that it is a 5 k system and does not recognize my 2.4 k printer. The EERO folks kindly told me how to temporarily switch their system to 2.4. I did so to no avail, please help

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA MG3600 series. The model number should appear on the front of the printer at the lower right. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

As far as I can determine my model is a Pixma MG3600 with no other designations

Hi Wauchop,

Your PIXMA MG3620 will only connect to a 2.4Ghz network. Also, please make sure that the network is using WPA2, because WPA3 is not supported with your PIXMA MG3620.

Once you have verified that your Wi-Fi is 2.4Ghz and using WPA2, please try the steps on this page to connect your printer to your Wi-Fi:

Sorry so tardy in responding. I gave up on the Canon and replaced with an Hp as they claim all their models are dual band. I was proudly able to install the Hp by myself not bad for an 82year old. Thank you and the forum for your help.

my wife got one of these a couple of days ago, second hand

idk if this helps:

the power is on
the wifi light is solid blue (holding it down does nothing)
idk if the ink is empty or not
I have put paper in
the cartridge holder moves around inside
neither my computer (W10) nor my wife's laptop (macbook air) can find it on our LAN

also, when I go to Canon's website to find the drivers, and I put in mg3600, it's not there
there is mg3620 and there is ip3600
which one is closer?

Hi, gfybioya! "MG3600" refers to a series of models. To find out which specific model you have within the MG3600 series, you'll need to look at the front of your printer. The model number should appear near the lower right corner. Once you have that information, you'll want to search for that specific model number.

Also, the iP3600 series is not related to the MG3600 series.

I see.

It does have a small sticker that says MG3620.

On top, there are three LEDs. One has CL (I assume, Color), one has BK (black), and the last has a triangle with a little squiggle (I don't know what that means). All three are blinking orange, 5 times, repeatedly.

Does this mean the printer is broken?
