Trying to connect to T-mobile internet. The Mac Address is not what T-mobile has . Example Printer shows Last 4 F:2F:8 But T-mobile Has F:2 F:3 ? Can this be changed on printer or cleared ? T-Mobile can not change their mac address. They said The printer is trying to pick up WPS even when i cancel wps and use the standard method ?the printer still wants to use the same mac Address ?

Greetings,

This is expected. Your T-Mobile router has multiple interfaces, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and each has a unique MAC address. It's possible for the last digit of a devices MAC address to increment by one or two digits depending on which interface is being used. This is normal.

Typically, the MAC address of a device is unique and embedded in the chipset of a network adapter. Some devices have the ability to change their MAC address dynamically, but not Canon printers. The MAC on the printer cannot be changed. There is no reason you'd need to even if it were possible. MAC addresses are unique. This is by design. The same way two devices cannot have the same IP on a network. (That's another discussion). 😉

The printer supports a 2.4Ghz wireless broadcast that uses WPA2 encryption. Please ensure your network (router) even if it is dual or tri-band meets these standards.

New routers often come configured to use WPA3 encryption. The printer does not support this standard. Most routers support WPA3/WPA2 simultaneously for backwards compatibility. You may need to make this change in settings to facilitate the connection.

It might also be helpful to give each wireless broadcast a unique name.. example, Mywifi2.4, mywifi5G, etc. Or you can try temporarily disabling the 5Ghz or other bands while making the connection to the 2.4Ghz network. Then re-enable them once the printer is connected.
