topic ImageCLASS MF644Cdw not connecting to local network in Printer Software & Networking

Aloha,

I have a MF644Cdw that today decided to stop talking to my local area network. Any scan attempts using the Canon scan utility on my computer gives an error code 255,0,0. Attempts to print result in an error. It indicates that it has an IP address (10.0.0.186), however, my computer cannot even ping it on this address. Further, when I connect the printer to the router using an Ethernet cable, the same error occurs. The Ethernet connection on the router does not even light up. My computer can connect to any other devices on the LAN & reach the Internet. This makes me think that the problem is with the printer. any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Ned
