I know this is an old thread, but thought I'd offer my $0.02.

My Canon PIXMA TR8620a suddenly stopped being recognized. I registered my printer, started a chat session and followed the instructions.

- Checked WiFi settings:

- Verified network name

- Signal strength: 100%

- Entered IPv4 address in Safari on my iPhone: page wouldn't load, sever shut down (or something like that).

- Turned off iPhone, printer, and disconnected WiFi from power.

- Waited 30 seconds, plugged power connector back into WiFi, waited for signal to come up on computer.

- Powered up phone and printer.

- Verified WiFi settings in printer again. All the same as before.

- Reloaded Safari IPv4 page on phone. Page loaded successfully.

- Tapped "upload" icon on Safari page.

- Chose "Print". Printer appeared in "Choose printer" window.

- Done.

Verified with chat that the Wifi was at fault. Interestingly, I was planning on power cycling the WiFi device because of other issues.

Rick

Hello,

My Canon TR8620a is two weeks old. It was working great until the latest firmware update, now I no longer have AirPrint and it can only be found on my network by searching for the IP address. Firmware version is 1.052. I can see it just fine in my network, it just doesn't show up on my iPad Pro or on my Macs as an AirPrint option. On both Mac and Linux I had to search for the printer with the IP address, though the Linux installer did find it when it scanned my network.

Anyone have any idea if the latest firmware breaks AirPrint?

Thank you
