PIXMA MX532 - Scanning doesn't work with new Mac Air or Desktop

I have two MX532 printer/scanners. I know they are older but they work fine and I'd prefer not to replace them. Printing wirelessly works fine. But with the newer IOS, scanning doesn't. My old MacBook Pro with older IOS works fine.

I've tried every driver available on the Canon site for this printer.

Any ideas?

Does not work on:

1. Sequoia 15.5 on a new MacBook Air M4

2. Sonoma 14.5 iMac M1

Does work using old laptop:

1. Sonoma 14.6.1 on a MacBook Pro 2.4 Ghz i5
