      <title>imageCLASS MF731Cdw - How to revert to original Firmware and drivers</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My prints are there very light, faded.&amp;nbsp; Onboard printer options to repair will not work.&amp;nbsp; Printer panel says it can't fix.&amp;nbsp; I think this all happened when I updated the firmware and installed newer drivers.&amp;nbsp; Are there instructions how to revert ot the original firmware and drivers to see if they are a fix.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Firmware downgrades are not officially supported by Canon.&amp;nbsp; Here's what I suggest.&amp;nbsp; Your MF731Cdw has a 3 yr warranty.&amp;nbsp; Start by registering the device in your MyCanon portal to see your support options.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;After registering I would contact support.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://myprofile.americas.canon.com/us/signin" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;MyCanon&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;All drivers for your printer are available on its support portal.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/color-imageclass-mf731cdw" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;MF731Cdw&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You may want to consider resetting the device as a first step.&amp;nbsp; I'd also make a quick sweep of my printer driver properties and ensure you haven't inadvertently changed a setting and saved those as the default.&amp;nbsp; I have two Canon lasers and I've updated the firmware on both many, many times.&amp;nbsp; I print from Windows, Mac, IOS, and Android.&amp;nbsp; I use Canon toners and get consistent results.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
