    <description>&lt;P&gt;A collection of solutions have been posted to restore network scanning, but I've had no success with the mf216n. Evidently there's a difference with the install programs.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Got it working on three different Win 11 24H2 computers. Here's what worked for me:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Remove the mf216n from Printers and Scanners&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Go to Add and Remove Programs and remove any Canon print program **except** the Toolbox app.&lt;BR /&gt;If you don't have the Toolbox app, get it from Canon and install it.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Shut down and restart your computer.&lt;BR /&gt;If on WIFI, make sure your network is the default (the computer automatically logs onto the scanner's network).&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Download the latest mf216n driver from Canon.&lt;BR /&gt;You'll see a note for network scanning:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;EM&gt;If you cannot scan over a network or with a USB connection in Windows 10/Windows 8.1/Windows 8, install the MF driver, restart (not shut down) your PC, and then install the following program. [Windows 32-bit &amp;amp; 64-bit] Patch for Network Scan, USB Scan&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Finding and downloading the patch:&lt;BR /&gt;I couldn't find it in the US; did at Canon Canada:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://canoncanada.custhelp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1011867/~/%5Bwindows-32-bit-%26-64-bit%5D-patch-for-network-scan%2C-usb-scan" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://canoncanada.custhelp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1011867/~/%5Bwindows-32-bit-%26-64-bit%5D-patch-for-network-scan%2C-usb-scan&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Install the latest Canon mf216n driver&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;EM&gt;IMPORTANT: once the driver is installed RESTART your computer WITHOUT shutting it down.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Once restarted, install the patch.&lt;BR /&gt;Restart your computer.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
