Connecting My PIXMA ip8760 to my computer and iPad using wifi

I have had a PIXMA ip8760 for several years now but have been unable to follow the directions to connect it to my computer (Dell) by wifi. I have always used a USB cable. I would also like to connnect the printer to my iPad. Can someone provide simple, step by step instructions?

Your printer supports 2 types of wireless connections. You can either connect it to your wireless network or use the wireless direct feature.
