      <title>Duplex Scanning option not available in MF Scan Utility anymore - MF656Cdw</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;So, something has happened and I can no longer perform duplex ADF scanning using the MF Scan Utility more. This HAS been working for years. I CAN do it from the printer console if I want to walk a back and fourth with a USB stick, but not using the utility. &lt;P&gt;I can assure you the 656 supports single pass duplex scanning.&amp;nbsp; I'm not at home at the moment, but can look at this later this evening.&amp;nbsp; It's not a "regression issue" and appears to be something related to your individual environment.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I'm sure there is a simple explanation as to why it's not appearing for you.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;ScanGear shows Feeder 2-Sided option&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;This issue is not related to firmware.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You need the 1st and 3rd drivers packages for full functionality.&amp;nbsp; Install the MF drivers (UFRII) with ScanGear first, and the MF Scan Utility v1.21.0.2 second.&amp;nbsp; The Master Setup is not needed.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;It might be helpful if you give us some additional information.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;How is the printer connected and to what?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;When you "reinstalled" the software and drivers, did you remove the old device&amp;nbsp;from Settings &amp;gt; Bluetooth and Devices, Printers &amp;amp; Scanners, first?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Did you uninstall the Canon software and restart your system before the re-install?&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;When you open the MF Scan Utility what appears in the upper right-hand corner of the drop down menu?&amp;nbsp; There should only be&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;one&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt; printer listed.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Please also look in Settings &amp;gt; Device Manager.&amp;nbsp; Expand Imaging Devices&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;What appears there?&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I ran into the same issue with my MF455dw printer. It worked until I finally bit the bullet and updated Windows 11 to 24H2. I can scan duplex using the ADF with ScanGear, but only to JPG. I can do it from the printer to a network share to whatever format I want. MF Scan just doesn't work properly.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm a software engineer and former IT support guy, and I've tried all the tricks except a full reinstall of Windows, which I think is an unreasonable step to fix a scanner driver issue.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
