The Windows Scan app worked but didn't have options I needed. I want to be able to scan multiple pages to a single PDF and preview scans to allow me to crop them, for instance. The open source NAPS2 app does this well and has comparable options to those in the Canon scan app.

Ultimately, I returned the Arm64 based Surface Pro computer because of the incompatibility issues. If another printer manufacturer makes an Arm64 compatible multifunction printer, I'll buy one of those and get another Arm64 based computer. I loved that thing!

I have a new Microsoft Surface Pro with ARM64 and Windows 11. The installation software provided by Canon for printing and scanner doesn't work with the ARM64. I've been able to get the printer installed, but I want to be able to use the IJ Scan Utility software that came with the printer. Has Canon created this? Is it in the works? Or are there work-arounds?

Mainly, I want to set up and scan multipage PDFs and use the PDF Editor that can add/remove/reorder pages.

Hi jcwareham,

The IJ Scan Utility is not available for use with ARM based computers.

To scan, please download and install "Windows Scan" from the Windows App Store

You can use the link below to access that page directly:
