      <title>Canon ipf8400 and photoshop CC.   Error message when loading the Canon print plug in.</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have a Canon IPF 8400 which I've been using successfully with my PC for about 8 years with Photoshop CC (subscription).&amp;nbsp; I recently move from a desktop PC to a MSI pulse GL66 laptop.&amp;nbsp; I am having trouble getting the Canon Plug-In for photoshop working for printing.&amp;nbsp; I have loaded onto the laptop all the updated drivers and software for the IPF 8400 from the Canon website.&amp;nbsp; I know the driver allows the computer to recognize the printer because the printer responds when loading drivers and software.&amp;nbsp; Also I can print using the Photoshop File/print menu.&amp;nbsp; However, when I try to load the Canon plug in to print via "File/export/ipf8400 print plug in", it gives me the error message: "the required profile to perform color processing is not available" and the plug in won't load.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I have no idea what that error message means, so I don't know how to fix it.&amp;nbsp; Any idea what 'the required profle' is referring to?&amp;nbsp; And what I need to do to fix this?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Again, I can print using the photoshop File/print menu, but I'm not sure this is good way to print with this printer as I've always used the Canon plug-in.&amp;nbsp; So if you can't offer help on the error message, then do you know if there is any disadvantage to printing using the photoshop File/print menu, versus using the Canon photoshop plug in?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
