&lt;P&gt;First, please identify the IP address that was assigned to your MAXIFY MB2720:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;1. Press the HOME button on your MAXIFY MB2720.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;2. Swipe the screen and select Setup.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;3. Select Device Settings.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;4. Select LAN settings.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;5. Select Confirm LAN settings.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;6. Write down the IPv4 address assigned to your MAXIFY MB2720.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;7. Press the HOME button.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;On your computer, please open a web browser and follow these steps:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;1. Enter the IP address of your MAXIFY MB2720 that you wrote down in the address bar of the web browser.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;2. Click Log On.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;3. Enter the password. The password is the serial number of your MAXIFY MB2720. It can be found on the back of your printer.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;4. Click on Device Settings from the menu on the left.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;5. Click on Set mail server / test connect.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;6. Select Set mail server.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;7. Enter smtp-mail.outlook.com in the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) box.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;8. Enter 587 in the Port number (SMTP) box.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;9. Place a checkmark next to Secure connection (SSL).&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;10. Place a checkmark next to Don't verify certificates.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;11. Select SMTP authentication under Authentication method.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;12. Click OK at the bottom.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;13. At the next screen, enter your Hotmail username (your_username@hotmail.com) and Hotmail password.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;14. Click OK.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>MAXify MB2720 - Mail server Error 3423</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I am Using hot mail account ( but have seen the same issue posted from Gmail accounts with no real answers) I have Maxify MB2720 printer, and email sever connection was working until Oct 2023. Nothing changed it just stopped connecting and giving me the error 3423. I check and test from the User Interface and it passes. I then go back to printer and try again but get the same error.&amp;nbsp; Did Hotmail change something or did Cannon change their driver?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
