PIXMA TR8520: Is there an upgrade to connect to 5GHz?

I have a pixma TR8520 printer. I just changed my internet carrier to T-Mobile which only has 5g. The printer I have cannot connect to 5g only 2.4g. Before I buy a new printer I was told to find out if there is an upgrade to 5g for this particular printer?

An upgrade to the wireless capabilities of the PIXMA TR8520 is not available.
