    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have tried installing the software, the individual drivers, followed steps from other threads on this forum and cannot get this to work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The laptop is running Windows 10, the scanner has a static IP address.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've followed the steps here:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Office-Printers/ImageClass-mf455dw-scanner-software-not-installed-error-message/m-p/477609" target="_blank"&gt;https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Office-Printers/ImageClass-mf455dw-scanner-software-not-installed-error-message/m-p/477609&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and when I run the installer (MF450MFDriverV720W64) it offers me to install the PCL6/PS3/etc printers and fax, but not a word about the scanner.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I try to install the scanner app (winmfscanutilityv12102) the installer fails with some unusual message (literally an empty error message). From what I could figure out, it is dependent on the scanner driver being installed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As a last resort, I manually installed the scanner driver, by opening Control Panel (thankfully still present in Win10), navigating to Scanners and Cameras, clicking Add Device, and selecting that I have disk, locating the drivers (under&amp;nbsp;MF450MFDriverV720W64\intdrv\SCAN\x64\Driver folder). I could see the scanner in Device Manager after that (with an exclamation mark) and after that the scan utility installed. But scanning never worked.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The only thing I was able to get to work was connecting the printer via USB and scanning that way. But this is a shame - that's not why I have a network device. My previous HP and Samsung were flawless in that regard.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So - the question - how do I register or add a network scanner for MF455dw (with a known IP address)?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am (or at least was) planning on buying a second printer of the same model, and was hoping that I could remotely scan from either one - but I need to somehow register the scanner with an IP address.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've uninstalled the software, rebooted, reinstalled everything again - still no success.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Has anyone ever been able to get the scanner to work over network? If so how did you configure the IP address in the software?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
