topic PIXMA MG3600 Series: Trouble printing, reinstallation causing more problems in Printer Software & Networking

My printer seems to find reasons not to work. In the middle of a 10 page print job it just stopped. I assumed it was a paper jam but after looking front and back I found nothing do I left it alone. I didn't continue on either. The next time I went to print 3: Pages I got an error notice that I needed to set up the printer again I tried this over again several times until I received a network configuration page. If course I have no clue what it all means so I try once again to complete the set up as best I can and finish my copy job. But the results I get to the instructions don't line up with what is supposed to happen according to the information I have. Instead of reconnecting to the wifi of which never stopped connecting according to the blue wifi light that never went out. As I tried printing following the set up process an orange light next to the BK sign came on. As I understand this means low ink or no ink that can not be the cause here as I've not used the printer enough to have run out of ink since I replaced the ink. And seeing the thickness and clarity of wording from what I print, the ink cartridges can not be low on ink. Why am I having the problems. Please help before I through the printer out of the window

Thanks for joining the conversation, Djm4love!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know which specific Canon printer model you have within the PIXMA MG3600 series. The model number should be on the front of the printer at the bottom right.

We also need to know exactly which operating system is running on your computer (i.e. Windows or macOS, and which version thereof). That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!
