      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello I just bought this printer, I know it works I have a fault Cannot communicate with the scanner. cable disconnected blah, blah blah. This is a windows problem. I reinstalled windows with Ver. 24H2 and setup the printer-scanner and it works however I guess the system is updating its files and it no longer sees the scanner.&amp;nbsp; What is the fix?&amp;nbsp; I haven't even had the printer a week, very frustrating.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;This is a known issue with feature release. 24H2.&amp;nbsp; Doesn't happen with previous feature releases.&amp;nbsp; Microsoft is aware of the issue, however they have not provided a date for a fix.&amp;nbsp; Unfortunately it's affecting multiple manufacturers.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your expertise and willingness to help.&amp;nbsp; I too have experienced scan issues. Strange that one of my systems can scan, but the other one cannot, but using Microsoft scan, it works - does not work for the Canon scan software, ver 1.21.02.&amp;nbsp; with driver 5.2.&amp;nbsp; On my other system, which is similar, they're both HP's, Canon scan ver 1.11.0.1, with driver 5.2, Canon scan works. Both are Win 11, ver 24H2.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I believe I tried upgrading printer/scanner driver to ver 7.12, but no joy.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Very puzzling...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I just had to do a Clean Install of Windows 11 and found too that the MF Scan Utility would not communicate with my MF726Cdw.&amp;nbsp; I even installed (and left it in place) the Windows 10 (x64)&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;[Windows 32-bit &amp;amp; 64-bit] Patch for Network Scan, USB Scan.&amp;nbsp; Still no luck.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;During my Windows 11 re-install, updates also were installed:&amp;nbsp;2024-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5048667) and&amp;nbsp;2024-11 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 for x64 (KB5045934).&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Still had issues UNTIL...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;An optional Windows update was also posted:&amp;nbsp;2024-11 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 for x64 (KB5048162) was installed today and voila!!&amp;nbsp; MF Scan Utility now communicates with my MF726Cdw!!&amp;nbsp; It looks like Microsoft fixed something.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I’m not sure. &amp;nbsp;I have an MF726Cdw and have the MF Scan 1.21.02 from the Windows 11 driver filtering. &amp;nbsp;I filtered to Win 10 x64 and pulled in the Patch for Network Scan driver too. &amp;nbsp;They still didn’t work until the .NET Preview Windows Update I mentioned earlier, then MF Scan communicated again. &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
