    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have completed the downloads.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can print, I can scan, and the printer seems to be working.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately, in the Image Garden, the "Scan" option is not available for use and is grayed out.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am needing this for school. This used to work on my old laptop that has since taken a dive, so the new laptop and the same printer with the same downloads that I am trying to remember what I am doing wrong is causing me mental turmoil.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So please Community, please put my mind at ease.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
