Hello,

If the printer has a valid IP address, but the setup is unable to locate the printer, it will usually mean there is security software blocking the setup from finding the printer or there is a communications issue.

In this situation, you can start by turning off any firewall or security software running on the computer and then running the setup again to see if it can detect the printer. If that fails, you can try power cycling the router that is connecting the two devices and then checking if the setup can locate the printer.

If the setup is still unable to find the printer, I would suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to check the network environment and any security settings to see what might be going on.

Hi, have a new mf735cdw. I have it connected to wifi, used the Windows 10 printer config tool to connect through windows and print a test page successfully. However, when I try to install the drivers and connect using the software from the support site for this printer, the device is not found when the app searches for devices nor when I specify the IP address from the printer. Any guidance on this issue would be greatly apprecaited!
