      <title>MF Scan Utility Cannot Communicate with scanner -ImageCLASS MF644Cdw</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have 2 computers on my network that have an error when trying to scan to my MF644CDW Printer/scanner.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It says "Cannot communicate with the scanner. The cable may be disconnected, or the scanner may be turned off. Check the scanner statue and try again. Scanner driver will be terminated."&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I can print to the printer and the scanner selector software sees the printer/scanner and when I install the MF Scan utility software it sees the scanner. It works fine from other computers on my network, but not 2 of them. All windows 11 computers. I have tried everything I can think of like disabling the firewall and security settings. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

We've uninstalled and reinstalled about three times with no luck. &lt;P&gt;I'm afraid this is something to do with 24H2 feature release as there are posts about it on Microsoft's community that include multiple printer / scanner manufacturers.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Just purchased imageCLASS MF455dw and experiencing the same issue connecting to network scanner using MF Scan utility.&amp;nbsp; Most certainly&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;something to do with Win11 24H2 feature release as mentioned throughout this thread (and others).&amp;nbsp; I did see someone suggested using&amp;nbsp;Windows Scan Utility and that connects as expected. Will need to continue to use until MS fixes what they broke.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello, first of all I'm disappointed in Canon. Upon buying this printer MF465dw. Most people say the set up is easy as drinking water. Upon finding out, the scanner App as directed to installed is the most difficult thing to set up.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;I keep getting error on my Window 11 PC: Cannot communicate with the scanner. The Cable may be disconnected, or the scanner may be turned off. Check the scanner status and try again. Scanner driver will be terminated.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also, I'm not sure why the scanner is separated from the Canon Print App on my desktop. I thought the scanner option should be in the app to give customer the ease to do everything from the app on their desktop?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If anyone from the Canon team has a easy fix solution to this error, please reply. Enabling it doesn't seem to change anything, but there is a message:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="lia-indent-padding-left-30px"&gt;Driver Management has concluded the process to add Service StillCam for Device Instance ID ROOT\CANON_MF_NETWORK\0001 with the following status: 0.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What does that mean, because it seems to be the crux of the issue. Tried all the usual things - remove and reinstall, firewall, sfc /scannow&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is ridiculous. I'm disappointed in Canon. Actually, just read tjfitz68's comment above. Looks like it's Microsoft's fault, again... I knew win11 was going to be a hassle.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Canon has great printer. I think their developer don't spend time in putting in working to developed a good printer driver. All the drivers for their printer is very bad, they will put out bad driver and pretend like they don't know what is going on.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Once I updated my window 11 pc, now I got the printer ImageClasss MF462dw printing automatically 2 pages. Why should it be like that Canon? I didn't experience this issue with my HP or Epson Printers.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Someone from Canon will come here saying to uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, why should this be the fix? You guys are providing service and I believe it should be well prepared for the customers.
