CANON MAXIFY 2120 PRINTER-how to type in new password for wifi?

I moved and now my Canon Maxify 2120 printer is operating on the old wifi password and it won't connect to my new wifi system in my apartment. I don't see any place at all either in my computer or on the printer to type in the new password for the wifi so that the printer will connect to the network and work on wifi again.

Can someone tell me how to get the printer connected to the wifi using the new password? How do I tell the printer what my new password is for the wifi system in this new apartment? I am using a Macbook Pro with Sonoma 14.6.1.

Thank you,

donna

I have the same problem, had to replace the router and now it doesn’t ask for password. Have you figured it out?

All of the above. Except now I'm giving it another try with the same results. iOS and MacOS, I've configured routers to have a reserved IP address, I've entered IPv4 and 6 addresses exactly. I've used "other" network to manually enter the Wifi password. I will not resort to the cable again; it must print over Wifi.

Hello, I had a similar issue. I moved and got a new internet router/modem. The internet name and password remained the same, but my printer would not connect to it and never gave me the option to input a password at all.
Based on a comment from “shadowsports” on one of the other community posts I had looked at, I was able to solve it by changing the security mode of my WiFi settings to WPA2. The new router had it at WPA3, and I think the printer isn’t compatible with that mode. After changing to WPA2, I tried to connect the printer and it asked me to enter a password, and after doing that, it worked. My printer is the MB2120.

To all here having an issue, first make sure your wireless router is set for 2.4ghz, no Canon printer will connect to a 5ghz router signal.

In addition to my earlier post, I highly suggest you log onto your router and create a simpler wifi password, one that can be easily entered from a printer control panel keyboard such as 6 random numbers with two lower case letters. WRITE IT DOWN!
