Any suggestions on how to connect my older Pixma MX870 to my wireless network?

I know Canon stopped supporting this printer but seems a shame to just throw it out as it works great otherwise. The wireless connection worked fine until I had to change my modem and now the only option is a USB cable connection which is not a solution for me as the printer is in a different room than my PC. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

While our Forum Community members are welcome to chime in, the Canon PIXMA MX870 has been retired. That means we do not offer support for the printer or updated drivers. We recommend updating to a more modern printer and reaching out to our Canon Upgrade Program specialist who will go over the best options for upgrading your printer.
