&lt;P&gt;Are you running the new installer over the existing installation?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I suggest you remove the existing installation, restart your computer, then run the updated installer.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Let us know if that helps.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>scangear not responding</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have a Pixma MX490 printer/scanner and when I run scangear it just hangs (picture scan and document scan). I last used it a couple of weeks ago without a problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried downloading the latest from Canon but it didn't help.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also tried running as administrator but no luck.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
