My printer constantly says offline when it isn't. I've seen so many messages about this and need an actual solution.

I have tried:

power cycling (including unplugging)

new drivers

changing my wifi from public to private

I completely switched internet providers with an entirely new modem/router and network, and no change.

My scanner works just fine - it will be scanning and the printer will still say offline, so it clearly isn't a wifi issue. It happens from my Windows laptop, my partner's Windows laptop, and her Mac, so it isn't a Windows issue.

Info:

Model: imageClass mf642cdw

Operating system: Windows 11 (but also happens on Mac)

Connection: wireless (and the scanner works just fine)

Please help!
