I have the same problem/issue that I previously read about in a Canon forum. I deleted the previous driver, unplugged my printer for several hours. Also, I was previously connected via wifi. In the process of trying to reconnect, on the printer, I did go through the menu and selected direct connection via USB. No luck, no joy. Any further suggestions? My mac is a little older, iMac running Sierra 10.12, and no more software updates are available. BUT....... the printer did work when wifi connected. I just got tired of it dropping, and also having to turn off then turn back on every time I wanted to print. Thought it might be easier, more convenient to just buy a new USB printer cord........ again, no luck. Previous posts in how to solve the problem did not work. Any new information or fixes? HELP!
