PIXMA MG2522 printer: MacBook connection issue

hello i just purchased a MG2522 cannon printer and i cant conect it to my mac book it says apple dose not have the software to hook up my printer. i was told to contact cannon manufacturer to help me with this issue. I HOPE TO HEAR BACK FROM YOU SOON. THANK YOU!!!!

You can download the printer and scanner drivers from this site:

Canon Support for PIXMA MG2522 | Canon U.S.A., Inc.

You will need the CUPS printer driver and the ICA Driver.
