Thanks for clarifying! We appreciate the info, though we need to let you know that the PIXMA TR4527 is not supported by our team here at Canon USA since that printer isn't available in this country. If you live outside the United States, please click HERE and select your country to find support in your part of the world. Your fellow Community members are still welcome to offer their advice.

Thanks for choosing Canon!

I bought my printer in Canada so it should certainly be supported in Canada. I'd say in general this printer has crappy flaky connection software. I am also mostly using a Mac to print stuff to it. Anyway mostly it connects and prints fine, but sometimes randomly it just won't connect and says it's "offline". Sometimes this can be fixed by the usual turn the printer physically off, wait a minute then turn it back on. The other thing to do which I'm not sure if it's critical or not is if you have a router with 5GHz and standard Wi-fi like I do, be sure your Mac is connected to the standard Wi-Fi because Canon states that they don't support 5GHz connections. But sometimes nothing seems to work. The only thing that seems to work in that case is to have the printer on, and send your document to the printer. After a long time, sometimes I think as much as 2-3 hours, the printer will finally wake up and print your document. Usually after that, for me anyway it works fine again until the next flaky connection problem occurs which can be months or years.
