PIXMA MG7720 Printer Firmware Upgrade Questions

My MG 7720 has informed me there is a new firmware upgrade.

I am quite pleased with the functionality of the printer & its features and I am hesitant to have have the firmware updated on this printer. Once updated the printer can not revert back to a previous firmware

Can you tell me what the most recent updates / modifications are for the MG7720 ?

Were there changes in the printer's routines or feature enhancements?

This is the firmware I found for the MG 7720.

Verion 1.1 adds support for

- macOS Monterey (12) has been added as a supported OS.
- macOS Big Sur (11) has been added as a supported OS.
- macOS Catalina (10.15) has been added as a supported OS

Updates are optional, not mandatory. Firmware is also cumulative, so its OK to skip one or more versions as long as there isn't a minimum version pre-requisite to update. If you are stable and not experiencing any issues, and the released firmware doesn't address a security flaw or problem you are experiencing, you do not have to update.

- Printer Update: The firmware to upgrade the functions of the printer.
- Language’s folder: Contains the manual of the firmware update procedures. Launch it from fut_upgrade.html inside the language folder.

My MG7720 Firmware is 2.030. The latest optional firmware being displayed for upgrade = 2.040 !

The firmware can be downloaded via the server.
