I am trying to see if I can set my printer up without the cd. I do not have a cd slot on my computer and I purchased without knowing it had cd setup. Thanks

You don't need the CD. Google Canon Support for your printer model. All the necessary software can be downloaded from the Internet. Plus you may find that there is updated software.
