    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Michael,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;I am using a canon MX494 and using a USB cable to connect with my laptop which is operating with Windows 10.&amp;nbsp; My laptop picks up the printer and I can print, but when I try using the IJ Scan utility and scan directly from their I get the error message that the software cannot connect with the scanner. Very odd since the printer and scanner are the same piece of hardware.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please can you advise how I can trouble shoot this.&amp;nbsp; The solution suggest above has not been successful.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
