Amazing. A printer that won't connect. "Set up" won't do anything. It just prompts the advanced configuration, and lo and behold, it doesn't show up.

Hello,

The Chromebook would not be able to install our drivers, but you can download the Mopria print service to print from the Chromebook to the MF247dw. To setup the printer, you can connect it to your wireless network using the steps in the link HERE. Once on the network, the Chromebook should be able to detect the printer through the Mopria print service.

@2240114,

Chromebooks are a low cost, value oriented, limited platform. The operating system is proprietary and the majority of it's features are app based. Because of this, hardware support is extremely limited.

Google abandoned cloud print 3 years ago. They removed this support from their chrome OS which is unfortunate. It further limited this OS.

A printing app like mopria is one possible solution. Google offers the following support for printing.

https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/7225252?hl=en
