Hi Stephen,

Update: The drivers install file is now: md__-win-tr4500-1_03-ea34_2.exe

The printer is the PIXMA TR4520. I am using Windows XP 64-bit. For installing drivers, I use the .INF file method to via Device Manager, and I have done it this way for many years. . I got all the drivers to installed except the scanner drivers.

These are the scanner drivers in the .INF folder.

SCN01.cab
SCN02.cab
SCN.CHECKSUM
tr4500s.cat
TR4500SC.INF

Inside the TR4500SC.INF file, these install parameters are listed:

; CANON INC. Scanner driver
;
; TR4500SC.INF -- Windows Setup File for the Canon TR4500 series
; Scanner driver
; Copyright (c) CANON INC. 2021

;........................................ Maybe recommend earlier Canon scanner .INF files and .CAB files that could possibly work please?

PIXMA TR4520 and Windows XP 64-bit Are there backward compatible scanner drivers?

These are printer, fax and scanner combos and are almost identical. The install file is md__-win-e4500_tr4600_tr4700-1_03-ea34_2.exe. All the drivers install except the scanner driver.

Here is a list of all the TR series with scanners:

PIXMA TR150
PIXMA TR152
PIXMA TR4520
PIXMA TR4522
PIXMA TR4720
PIXMA TR4722
PIXMA TR7020
PIXMA TR7020a
PIXMA TR7022
PIXMA TR7022a
PIXMA TR7520
PIXMA TR8520
PIXMA TR8620
PIXMA TR8620a
PIXMA TR8622
PIXMA TR8622a

Which are the older printers with the scanner? I would like to see if their older scan drivers are backward compatible. I will try just the scanner .INF file with its cabinets to see if I can get it installed. Has anyone had any success with this method?
