PIXMA MG6100 Easy Photo Print Quality & Paper Selection

Good morning, I found this post on the website about the quality of the photos when printing on Easy Photo Print from my Macbook Air to my Canon Printer (model is a MG6100). The operating system on my Macbook is OS Mojave 10.14.5

I have installed the latest version of the Easy PhotoPrint on the mac but I have also been using a windows based computer for pictures and the quality is much better. The pictures that come through the MAC is very washed out. Ink is fine in the printer.

In this version of the Easy Photo Print, I am also not able to find where I can select what type of photo paper is used (as I could in the older version on my WIndows based computer.

Can you provide some guidance, please. I am located in Canada
