topic PIXMA TR8620 "Auto Printer On" Function Not Working with iOS/iPhone App in Printer Software & Networking

My Win10 PC and my Android can both successfully print to my PIXMA TR8620 WiFi-attached printer when it is powered off.

My wife's iPhone cannot. We've downloaded the latest Canon app, etc.

When she tries to print on iOS,I noticed that there's a spinner that never stops spinning on a button that says "Getting Printer Information" or something similar.

In contrast, on Android, when I first tried it (a few moments ago) I got a notification asking if I wanted to accept some kind of updated security certificate from the printer, which I did. Worked fine after that.

So: I'm wondering if Apple is fussy about certs, or if I'm missing a request to approve a cert because it's displayed in some non-obvious way (Android popped it up over everything).

Thanks!
