Need help connecting to wifi on new print Canon Pixima TS3425

Hello, bought printer TS 3425 and we cannot connect our phones or computers - wifi has an “x” beside it in the printer and our devices keep “searching” …. We have never had this much difficulty connecting wireless please help.
