how to scan and email a document with canon mp495?

I do not remember how to scan a document to be saved to my computer, i need to send something to my school and do not want to use the fax its too complicated to figure out sicne my fax machine is seperate. please help as soon as possible thank you.

Hello mommyof2plusu.

Scans can be performed using our MP Navigator program. This program should be installed on your computer.

The program has the ability to scan and send images to some email clients. If your email program is not able to be selected in the MP Navigator, you can save the scan to your computer using the software. Then use the 'attach' option in your email client to manually attach images or files from your computer.
