Greetings from Michigan.

I have just purchased Pixma ip8720. I ran the setup disc successfully. The problem is that it replaced existing software for my old printer Pixma MG5200. Can I install another program for MG5200? I still want to use the scanner function of MG5200 as ip8720 does not have a scanner function. But running ip8720 setup disc erased all MG5200 programs. Canon does not allow users to have two printers?

You can have the PIXMA MG5200 series and your PIXMA iP8720 installed on the same computer at the same time. It is not clear why the PIXMA MG5200's programs were uninstalled, but you can download and reinstall the drivers and software for your PIXMA MG5200 series using this link:
