G9X question

Love this little camera, canon got it perfect with the low weight and small size. Hope any subsequent upgraded models (not that it needs it) maintain the unique size and weight.

I have a question regarding the 'Bulb' mode. Obviously to start this mode you just touch the screen but how do I stop it without touching the camera and shaking it when doing long exposures? Using the s120 for example I could just set a minute and it would stop after. Do I need to use the phone app for this?

Also to keep manual focus in the same place in between shots I need to change the manual focus safety setting? This works in between shots but the focus changes back on the camera turning itself off.
