How do I reformat a memory card?

I have a large number of images still on my memory card after downloading the photos to my computer. Apparently I failed to check a box for "Delete images after download". I want to clear all images from my memory card.

It would be helpful if you posted your camera model for more specific instructions but in most models in the settings menu there is a selection to format the memory card. So take a peek thru your settings menus first.

You can also format it in a computer but most suggest you do it in the camera.

Another responder sent me a screenshop from the manual that led to a solution within two minutes. Thanks for your input.
