Windows released a couple of major OS updates over the past 10 days, or so. I was not aware that Vista was still supported, but an update may have changed some drivers behind your back.

It sounds like you keep trying the same thing over and over, and it's still not working. Have you tried to delete Canon's software, and then downloading the latest versions from Canon Support, and installing it?

Hello! I have a PowerShot SX110 and an SX510. My computer suddenly won't recognize them when I attempt to load my pictures. I am using Windows Vista. The obvious conclusion I came to was that my USB cord was broken, so I replaced it. Didn't help. "Canon camera" is shown as a possible device, but the computer won't connect with either of my cameras. Everything was fine until a week ago. I also reset both cameras to their default settings. Suggestions?
