While I am trying to focus on a subject why does my Canon ELPH 160 show the message: "Display will turn off. Any operation reactivates"? I cannot focus with a black display, and tapping a button disturbs the focus. I could understand this if the battery were low, but this happens even with a fresh charge. Is there a setting that I can change to disable this message?

Thank you! I figured it out - was the ECO setting that had to be changed first in order for me to access Power Settings.

Hello Jasleen70,

The PowerShot SX740 HS also has the Power-Saving feature as well as a feature called ECO Mode. You would want to check each of these settings. They can be found on page 101 in the user's guide. I have included a link to the manual HERE for your reference.
