Remote Control

I have a Canon SX50 HS camera. Recently bought a remote control. It was working fine. Now each time I plug it in it takes a picture. Then I can't activate the remote. Each time I switch to another mode it automatically takes a picture. What has happened?

which remote did you get the RS 60E3?

I have the same camera and that reomte as well as a wireless one. It sounds like the switch may be stuck down on your remote? See if it is

I must have accidentally moved the switch a little. Got it to work now. Thanks for replying.
