G16 wireless shutter release?

Hi there,

I love my G16, but as my skills grow I wonder if I'm bumping into the ceiling on it.....

First, does the G16 have IR capability that I can't seem to find? I love the star feature and a wireless remote would make it all that much better. I can't seem to find it under self-timers and thinking I might be out of luck.

No you are not out of luck, facing the back of the camera on the right side under a cover is a remote shutter jack that accepts wired remote switches like the Canon RS 60E3 which I have as well as other wireless remotes like Vivitar makes which I also have.

Basically you need a receiver with a 2.5mm plug
