how to connect Canon AS 3000 to tv

I have tried and tried to get my AS 3000 to show images via my TV. Nothing seems to follow from any of the

directions that I have found in the manual here

I tried HDMI with the mini to normal size cable ends

I tried using the rca jacks into the tv

I get zip.

I cannot get the N button to get results from either of NTSC/PAL.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Twang, To connect your camera to your television, we recommend that you use the included AV Cable AVC-DC400. Once connected, turn your camera on in the playback mode to see your images on TV.

I'll give it a shot..asap. I think I have the right cable.. I have a lot and maybe I mixed them up.. should be just a mini to normal usb connect cable?
