Powershot A530 image transfer to computer

When I try to transfer the images from my Powershot A530 to my computer I receive a message stating the camera is not recognized. This only happens with one of the two users and only started recently. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium with office 2010. What should I try?

I'm wondering if you added new software to the one user on the computer that may have affected the downloading for the camera. What are you using for the downloads? It may need to be reinstalled. There could be something in the Windows driver that got corrupted in your user profile.

Does the computer recognize the memory card if you use a card reader? If it does, you may need to use that method until this gets resolved.

No new software added. I use zoombrowser ex to download. I will reinstall it to see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestions.

I changed the cable to another usb port and that solved the problem
