    <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your reply. I 'm a point and shoot no expert camera user so it sounds like this camera would be good for me. I like the zoom feature. My smaller cameras are only 20x. 30x makes a big difference.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Samintx,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Looks like the SX400 IS has not been getting many favorable reviews. Although it does okay with photos, a few reviews mention the pictures are somewhat noisy, and that there are better cameras with more features than this one. It basically is a point and shoot with little else as far as features. It is not small enough for a pocket. I&amp;nbsp;would say for a beginner camera with a nice zoom range, it should be acceptable. Not so much for advanced users though. It does not have full manual control, but does have quite a few presets that people seem to enjoy. For me the lack of full&amp;nbsp;manual control is a deal breaker, and is one of the reasons I used to like the SX line of cameras.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Steve M.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
