Have we accidently de-activated the macro focus capability? The manual is no help. We can use it in CUSTOM modes.

Sorry - it's a G15 Powershot bought last June.

The macro focus mode had been accessible until recently.

There should be no reason for that, have you tried to do a "Reset All" through the menu ? Maybe the camera software got hung up somehow perhaps through some obscure setting or button combination you may have accidentally pushed.

Thanks, John- we came to the same conclusion- we did the Reset All and it is now functioning.
