Re PowerShot SX510HS: is there a proper protocol for disconnecting the camera from the USB cable?

With my previous camera (not Canon) instructions said I must "safely" disconnect the camera from the USB cable inserted into the back of my computer. What is the safe way to disconnect my new Canon...can I just pull the cord out?

Cakbu,

Just make sure you turn off the camera first, then disconnect the USB cable. You should be fine.
