Remote timer for PS SX50 HS

I am looking for a timer remote control for the SX 50 HS. On line I found one by JJC, but have gotten mixed input that it works with this model. Visit. http://www.jjc.cc/products_info.asp?id=61&cid=3&pid=1&s_series=all to see product.

Anyone using this camera, timer for time lapse video production? Any advice would be great.

At this time, Canon doesn't make a timer remote control for the PowerShot SX50 HS. We don't run reviews or comment on the usability of third party items like the remote you reference. It is not endorsed or guaranteed by Canon to properly work with your camera.

Wouldn't it be a nice friendly thing to do for your loyal customers to check out the various accessories for your Canon products offered in the market place? The remote timer device is an example of a very popular camera accessory. It boggles the mind why Canon would not be interested in offering this to it's customers.
