Canon PowerShot S5 is will not upload images from computer to new larger memory card

Swapping out original memory card with 16gig card.

Copied all files, images etc. from original card to folder on desktop, then one named my pictures using drag and drop and then ZoomBrowser and CameraWindows.

I installed the memory card and did an in camera format.

Using both of the same methods I attempted to load my images on to the new larger memory card they would not go back.

Using Drag and Drop I got a slashed circle symbol indicating a "No Action".

Using ZoomBrowser and CameraWindows neither the camera or the memory card would registered in the dialog box which came up when it was time to selection where the files were to be transferred to.

At this point I have pretty much given up on being able to perform this task.

I have also pretty much given up on the Camera as an instrument I want to use and rely on.

All my other cameras all me to more and restore film work to suit myself.

Any suggestion before I toss it.
