topic Possible bad sensor on Canon Digital IXUS 500 in Point & Shoot Digital Cameras

Recently I found my old digital camera and tried to turn it on and it worked but the images on the display were defected. I thought it was a problem with the CF card and I saw a pin bent, so I fixed it. But now the same problem persists and I've been told it was possibly a bad CCD sensor. Since I don't understand much about cameras I thought I could find help in here. I'll leave some photos of what I see. If it is actually a bad sensor, what can I do? Does it have repair or is just scrap? I really liked this camera and really wanted to bring it back to life.

Greetings,

The IXUS 500 is a 22 yr old camera with a 5MP sensor. It's far behind the technology curve. A modern cell phone can outperform it.

Respectfully, there is nothing worth repairing. I suggest you let it go.
